What will you do?

Geldrop-Mierlo has a rich offer of sports and exercise. As Sports and Exercise Policy Advisor you will make the difference in maintaining and further strengthening the sports and exercise infrastructure for all its inhabitants. You are committed to providing accessible access to sports for all our residents to work on their healthy lifestyle. For this you work closely with sports clubs and organizations and you are the contact person of the municipality for all sports and exercise facilities in Geldrop-Mierlo.

From this position, you will be part of the Strategy and Policy Society team. Our common mission: to increase the resilience of our residents. The atmosphere is informal, the lines are short, and there is plenty of room for initiative and cooperation. Together with your colleague policy advisors, project leaders and area directors and colleagues from other teams within the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo you develop and implement policy in the field of sports and physical activity. In close cooperation with the policy advisor Health and Prevention you are co-responsible for the theme 'Vital Living' in the municipal strategy.

You advise the college, the council and external parties and maintain strong networks within and outside the organization. This is how you contribute to the ambitions of a vital and healthy Geldrop-Mierlo.

Your challenge

• You will develop and implement policies together with partners, residents and administrators in the field of Sport and Exercise, translating our strategy into practice.
• You direct the community sports coach work and have substantive coordination on this, this assignment will soon have to be reallocated through a tender on which you will direct content.
• You will maintain (grant) relationships with sports clubs and organizations dedicated to sports and vitality in the municipality.
• You will make a substantive and financial contribution to the Planning & Control cycle and the municipal strategy on the theme "Vital Living".

What can you expect from us?

• A salary of up to € 5,313 gross per month (scale 10 based on 36 hours per week, salary level October 1, 2024), depending on education and experience.
• Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 17.05% on top of your salary.

• Use of electric service bicycles and shared cars for appointments.
• An employment contract for the duration of one year with the prospect of permanent employment.

Who are you?

You are an enterprising and independent policy advisor with a feel for political-administrative relations. You are a connector who easily makes contact and knows how to combine content with process.

In addition:

• Do you have at least college working and thinking level;
• Do you have experience with policy development, preferably within sports and physical activity;
• you also stand (sometimes literally) with your feet in the clay;
• You are analytically strong, communicatively skilled and sensitive;
• you will enjoy going out into the community to direct executive affairs;
• You work in a customer-oriented, integral and results-oriented manner.
