Hospi Housing project in Geldrop-Mierlo successfully launched

Last week Alderman Godfried van Gestel visited Daniela who has been living with Alajandra and Richard in the Coevering since a few months. Daniela -student at Fontys Hogescholen- was one of the first in our municipality to make use of the new hospitaproject of the municipality Geldrop-Mierlo, housing corporation Compaen and Hospi Housing. With this project, the three parties want to stimulate room rentals and thus contribute to reducing the housing shortage. The project has only just started in Geldrop-Mierlo and Helmond and yet the rental platform already has about twenty applications from people who want to rent a room.

Hospita rental offers residents of Geldrop-Mierlo the opportunity to rent out a room in their home to someone, who needs it. This helps reduce the housing shortage and provides landlords with additional income and companionship.

In Geldrop-Mierlo, the municipality works together with the municipality of Helmond, Housing Corporation Compaen and Hospi Housing to stimulate and facilitate hospice rentals. This cooperation ensures a better match to the housing needs of residents in both municipalities. How it works. The tenant or owner rents out one room in the home in which they themselves live. This allows them to earn a little extra without affecting their rent allowance or AOW. Hospi Housing looks at which tenants and landlords match and guides the rest of the process.

Geldrop-Mierlo Alderman Godfried van Gestel (Housing) is not afraid of undesirable conditions. 'I have every confidence in the way Hospi Housing supervises the rentals. Of course it is not the case that this will solve the housing shortage, but this does add something. Every little stone contributes to solving the current housing shortage.'

For more information and support in finding a suitable tenant, landlords can contact Hospi Housing. They offer advice and help draw up leases to ensure that the rental process runs smoothly. By renting out a room, you are not only helping someone find housing, but also contributing to a more efficient use of the existing housing stock in the community.
