Toddler - Child and school
A good start at school is very important. At a nursery your child will be prepared for this. When your child is 2 or 3 years old, it can also attend toddler care for a few hours a week or a number of half-days (morning or afternoon). Your child will learn to play together with peers and do all kinds of toddler activities.
Early childhood education
For children between the ages of 2 years and 3 months and 4 years with an (impending) language or developmental delay is the Early Childhood Education (VVE) program. VVE is offered within the nursery, often as part of the preschool program. Children learn through play and as a result become more language proficient, better able to concentrate and develop a larger vocabulary. There is a lot of attention and time for language games, reading aloud, drawing, listening, singing and exercise. Usually, the child's health clinic determines whether your child is eligible for VVE.

Financial support
If you have one or more children using preschool care, you may be entitled to financial assistance. Even if your child has an indication for Early Childhood Education (VVE), you may receive a financial support for the costs. The child care organization applies for the financial support at the municipality.

Care pathway 0-4 years
In cooperation between local child care organizations, the Youth Health Care, the Collaboration for Appropriate Education Helmond Peelland PO, Ouderwijzer and the CMD and guided by Kluppluz, the care route 0-4 years was developed.
The care route provides pedagogical staff and care coordinators within the preschool with step-by-step instructions for identifying and dealing with the various support needs of the children in the group. The care route has been drawn up with the aim of providing as many children in the age of 0-4 years in the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo with the support they need by strengthening them in their regular setting.
The care route is laid down in a brochure "care route 0-4 years" and a document "explanation of care route 0-4 years".

It is smart to look ahead to see what elementary schools are in your area. Each school teaches in a different way. Check out different schools.
