Increasingly sustainable street lighting in 2025 as well

The municipality is replacing outdated street lighting at the beginning of the new year. The old, energy inefficient, fixtures will make way for new energy efficient fixtures and the masts will also be replaced. The new fixtures feature LEDs that provide white light, control light more precisely, use less energy and are dimmable. Due to the replacement of the fixtures, the lighting experience may be different than before. This requires a period of getting used to.

As of January

Starting in January, Heijmans started this work. The streets below will receive new lighting in the coming period:

From Week 5 (February):

Clarisselaan, Goorstraat, Reinoutlaan, Ritsaartlaan and Roelantlaan

From week 12 (March):

Adelaart Avenue, Ros Beiaard and Walewein Avenue

From week 14 (April):

Ganseboom, Holly, Leemkuylen, Nieuwenpolder and Waterpoort

At this time it is not possible to indicate exactly when work will take place on which street. There may be some disruption to traffic during the work.

Energy Savings

With these replacements, the municipality realizes another energy savings and thus contributes to an objective of the Energy Agreement, the reduction of energy consumption in public lighting.
