Nieuwendijk and Heggestraat redevelopment (partial).
Monday, March 31, we will start the redesign of Nieuwendijk and Heggestraat, below the final design.
The work is expected to last from March 31 to mid-September 2025.This plan is part of the center plan Geldrop in which we are working with all stakeholders to create a vital, compact and hospitable center.
Phasing
In order to guarantee the accessibility of the center of Geldrop and the adjacent businesses, we will carry out the work in several phases. We will start with the Nieuwendijk section (between Mierloseweg and Stationsstraat). This phase is expected to last until the end of May 2025. Subsequently, we will continue with the Heggestraat section in the period June to mid-September 2025.
During the work, adjacent homes and businesses will remain accessible on foot.
Accessibility parking lot Behind the Church
In order to keep the parking lot Behind the Church accessible, it is necessary to divert traffic to the parking lot from March 31 to April 8 via the Nieuwendijk-Parallelweg-Stationsstraat route.
