Municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo starts pilot shared scootmobile

Over the past year, the area directors of the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo, together with Wooninc. have been working on an innovative and sustainable mobility project: the shared mobility scooter. They saw a growing need among residents who do not immediately need their own mobility scooter, but would like to go a bit further from home on their own from time to time.

Pilot with Scoot2go

Together with the province of North Brabant and Scoot2go, a pilot has therefore been set up in which mobility scooters are shared by multiple users. A total of 12 residents from Maison St Cyr and Kastanjehof are participating in this pilot, which will last for one year.

Official kickoff on June 12

The official kickoff of the pilot will take place on Wednesday, June 12, at 3:30 p.m., with a celebratory moment in the presence of Alderman Mathil Sanders, who will officially inaugurate the first shared scooter.

This moment will take place in the common room of Maison St. Cyr, Alderman van Den Eijndenstraat 1, 5665 SK in Geldrop.
