The Municipal Council of Geldrop-Mierlo welcomes you to the annual Commemoration of the Dead on the British Field of Honour in Mierlo:

Preliminary program:

• Word of welcome by master of ceremonies Sjef Hoekstra on behalf of the organizing committees Stichting "De Drie Harten" and Orange Committee Mierlo
• Speech by Mayor Jos van Bree
• 'Imagine' performed by Ameezing conducted by Rita van der Werf
• Last Post by trumpeter Guus van Gogh from joint marching bands
• 8 p.m.: two minutes of silence
• British and Dutch national anthems played by the joint marching bands of Geldrop and Mierlo, sung by choir and attendees
• Laying of wreath by city council and children's mayor
• Laying of flowers by interested parties. Scouts Geldrop and Mierlo lay flowers at the graves, supported by music from the joint marching bands of Geldrop and Mierlo
• Speech by children's mayor Stan van Steenbergen on behalf of the youth of Geldrop-Mierlo
• Speech Pastor Pieter Flach
• Speeches by Aseel Jabr and Mika van Halteren
• 'Hallelujah' sung by Aseel Jabr
• Closing by master of ceremonies Sjef Hoekstra
• 'We'll meet again' sung by Audrey Smits and attendees
   

Laying down wreath or flower arrangement

During the ceremony you will have the opportunity to lay flowers at the monument on the British Field of Honor. If you would like to lay a wreath or flower arrangement on behalf of a foundation or association, please notify Christy van Crey in advance at communicatie@geldrop-mierlo.nl.
